About LED Garage And Canopy Lights

Commercial LED Garage and Canopy Lighting by Westgate Lighting

Westgate Lighting manufactures LED fixtures for parking garages, canopies, soffits, overhangs, drive-throughs, loading docks, covered walkways, and fleet and transit garages. Covered structures are the one part of a site that needs illumination during daylight hours, because a driver entering a garage or pulling under a canopy moves through a sharp transition in light level and needs the interior to read as bright by comparison. That makes these fixtures a distinct requirement from the dusk-to-dawn pole and wall fixtures in the wider commercial outdoor lighting range, which handle the open approaches to the same structure. Fixtures are available in surface, pendant, and low-profile mounting configurations with multi-power and multi-CCT selectability across most series.

Adjustable Canopy and Parking Lights

The CDX-MCTP Series provides multi-power adjustable output for canopy and parking applications, letting a contractor set wattage on-site rather than carrying multiple SKUs across a large garage deck. The CDX Pentalux Series offers adjustable canopy output in the Pentalux housing, and the GPX-GCP Series delivers adjustable garage and canopy performance on the GPX platform.

Low Profile and Recessed-Depth Fixtures

Where structural clearance is limited, fixture depth becomes the governing constraint. The CDLX Series is a power-adjustable low-profile canopy and garage light built for tight plenum depths and low-clearance decks, common in older parking structures and retrofit work where the ceiling cannot be modified.

Garage, Ceiling, and Interior Canopy Fixtures

The CXES and CXER Series provide square and round housings respectively for garage and ceiling applications, allowing a project to match fixture geometry to the surrounding architecture without changing optical performance. Both suit interior canopy and ceiling positions inside covered structures, where the fixture is sheltered from weather but still needs the output and uniformity of an exterior-rated luminaire. The CGL Series covers general garage and canopy duty across a range of standard installations.

Uplight and Angled-Beam Options

Two series address specific visual problems in covered structures. The CXU Series adds an uplight component and is sensor ready, directing a portion of output onto the deck above to reduce the cave effect that makes garages read as darker than their measured light levels suggest. The CAX Series delivers an angled beam for canopy perimeters and edge positions, where light needs to be thrown outward rather than straight down.

Specification Support

IES files, spec sheets, and installation documentation are available for every series. Westgate's DIY Lighting Design Tool can be used to model fixture quantity and spacing across a deck or canopy.
