1: Can you tell me if WEC-SW-PB1-010V-BT dimmer is compatible with a RAB T34FA-2×4 light fixture? I have purchased 2 of these dimmers thru a elec supply house. I have installed 10 of the fixtures. They work perfect on a single pole light switch. I install the dimmer with the breaker turned off. The dimmer blows as soon as I turn the breaker on. The dimmer will be installed in a club house with several different people operating the dimmer switch. Don't really need to use the dimmer app. Is the app necessary for dimmer start up?
The WEC-SW-PB1-010V-BT is not compatible with the RAB T34FA-2×4 fixture. This dimmer is a 0–10V sink-type dimmer, and many RAB fixtures use source-type drivers, which can cause the dimmer to fail when power is applied.
The Bluetooth app is not required for startup or normal operation.
For this installation, we recommend using a 0–10V dimmer approved by RAB for their fixtures, or following RAB’s published dimmer compatibility list.
